The new year is here and I am surprised to see how much I've grown and how much has changed.
I am always a little nostalgic when I think back, but it's not so much the desire to return to that point in time, but more the knowledge that so much of my life has already happened.
And as another year begins, I know there is still a lot more things to come
Verdikt being one of them, I am slightly worried about what people will think about the designs, its impossible to please everyone, but I do hope someone actually likes the look enough to buy.
I must remember to stay true to our vision
Here's wishing everyone a happy new year, full of potential to be the person you hope to be.
ps. please be mindful of one another and think before you say something rude or insulting; don't tear apart the few left who are good at heart.

Tokyo Madness
After Christmas and New Year shopping is a huge event anywhere in the world. However, NOTHING beats the madness in Tokyo. Many stores offer "fukubukuro" which are like grab bags. The content in the bags are merchandise marked way down. You can get great merchandise for a fraction of the price. But!...There's a but...the bags are shut super tight and there's no way to know what's in the bags. They line up the bags and you just pick out the one you want. Why do they love this so much? Besides the fact you can get great deals, I think people want to test out their luck for the new year. One thing about Japanese people...they have mad patience! Wait...let me rephrase that. People IN Japan...I'm Japanese but don't have nearly as much patience! These people will wait hours and hours in line! I don't think I could wait 3 hours in line when I don't even know what I'm buying! Here's some crazy pix I found online...

Biggest Loser Challenge!!
You folks ever watch that show the biggest losers? The show where they compete in who loses the most weight. Well, we had this great idea to decide on doing our own version of biggest loser to start off our new years! The only difference is instead of competing with the actual weight loss, we decided on competing with the percentage of weight: Weight lost / original weight = percentage. We have 3 month and the buy in is $100, its becoming to be a battle that we can't lose! I think this is gonna be a tough 3 month....

Happy 2010!
The year 2009 has been a very interesting year, lots of challenges and lot of changes. Different job, new tasks, for me, it was a very challenging one. On the bright side, I did get to go on 2 trips: Japan and Vegas, two of my favorite places! I will be posting up lots of pictures later on but on this blog, I would like to share about a new Business development in the Island of Oahu, Trump Tower Waikiki. Sits in the beginning of famous Waikiki, Trump Tower sits in front of the Outrigger Reef hotel. A very nice property with a very nice restaurant / bar.

A shot of the bar counter. The In-Yo restaurant had me feel like I was in the mainland. Nice atmosphere, excellent service, great property, I would recommend everyone to give it a try!

Recently I visited In-Yo restaurant, a fusion of Italian and Japanese cousin. Although the actual restaurant was not open at that moment, they did have a nice tables set up on the bar section right by the balcony.
Right by our table, there was a band playing real chill kine music. They played all different style from Hawaiian to popular R&B.
The food was really good also. I had an Lamb (not a big lamb eater so was a little hesitant in the beginning but it was actually really good!) with an popular Primo Beer!
During the Holiday season, we have decided to work on a project: a Heineken Christmas tree! Now, we did see people making the Heiney tree out of a regular bottle but what about with an deuce-deuce?? We thought that would be pretty unique and different so here we did. Damn, a lot of drinking!! This had to be one of the most exciting project ever, seeing the tree grow was amazing!
Here you can see the beginning of the tree. We fill the whole thing with bottles!
It took about 2 month but I think it came out pretty nice! The tree has the 22 once bottles, mini keg cans, regular Heineken bottles, the Heineken keg and the Heineken champagne bottle for the topper. We also put in lights in the middle.
Hope everyone had a good 2009, Wishing everyone a Happy 2010!!

The Beginning...
It's 2010...new year, new friends, new business, new life, and new adventure! A lot of things happened in '09. I had to overcome a lot of hurdles but now I'm ready to start off fresh! Speaking of new, this blog thing is very new to me so bare with me. I was roaming around looking at other blogs, thinking of what to write but it doesn't matter what everyone else is writing. The whole point is to write about the cool things I do, see or eat! And Yes, I love eating so you will see a lot of those blogs. We'll also be giving updates from LaLa Land where I am, the beautiful island of Oahu, Portland where the talented Ms. Cherie is, and of course Tokyo my homeland! I don't have much to offer right now but stay tuned! I promise you it'll get a LOT more interesting! This is just the beginning. I wish everyone great success, health and joy in this new year!!
